<description>I happened to run across this book at the bookstore last night. I read a couple of chapters, and as soon as I have the funds I plan on buying it. It touched a deep nerve that has run through me for the past couple of years; that Christianity is not about the good works we may try to do, but is about the restoration of relationship between man and God.
My particular calling to ministry has been about helping others realize that it is our relationship with God, and each other, that determine whether or not we will have peace. Peacemaking is relationship building/restoration, not conflict resolution.

		<description>8/9/05

I too was in the supermarket and saw the title &quot;Dinner With A Perfect Stranger&quot; and it intrigued me. Normally, I don&#039;t even browse the supermarket area for books. However, this caught my eye.

I am a practicing Catholic and feel strongly abour my beliefs. This is a book I feel for almost everyone and I highly recommend it. It is light at times and other times very informative. It will give your faith a boost and make you think a little more about what life is all about and where do we go from here. Also, the little hints about thinking good works will get you to heaven (if you believe in heaven as I do) which is really not so.

I don&#039;t want to say too much other than buy this book, it is a keeper.

<description>Will not be a book for me, but I find your comment about rereading before passing final judgement interesting. I, too, sometimes find that in rereading a book (more so books that are philosophical in nature), I come away with a different perspective, especially if there has been a goodly amount of time lapse between readings
