More than just books? CM as just another WordPress blog …

I am contemplating expanding CM beyond just books to more of a general purpose blog with a wider range of content (sports, current events, personal musings, etc.) instead of focusing on mostly just book reviews.  Strong opinions on this? Drop in the comments (please!).
